PetroChina Guangdong Petrochemical Co., Ltd is PetroChina’s largest‑scale integrated refining‑chemical project, located in Dananhai Petrochemical Industrial Zone, Jieyang, Guangdong Province, serving as a national key project for the Guangdong‑Hong Kong‑Macao Greater Bay Area strategy. Commissioned for full‑scale commercial operation in 2023, the complex possesses 20 million tons per year crude oil refining capacity, paired with 1.2 million tons per year ethylene and 2.6 million tons per year aromatics production capacity, supported by a 300 000‑ton crude oil terminal and product berths up to 100 000 tons, uniquely capable of processing heavy inferior crude oil with flexible output adjustment among fuels, aromatics and polyolefin products. Its main product portfolio covers national‑VI B clean fuels, para‑xylene, styrene, HDPE, LLDPE and PP resins, supplying domestic downstream industries while exporting to multiple overseas markets across Southeast Asia, Oceania and other regions.
Equipped with a full‑plant digital‑twin intelligent platform, the enterprise has been certified as a national outstanding‑level smart factory, and continuously carries out technical breakthroughs and product iteration through independent R&D and industry‑university‑institute cooperation. It has developed more than 40 polyolefin grades including metallocene PE, food‑contact HDPE HD5533B and thin‑wall injection PP‑HM0700, among which multiple new grades are the first‑of‑its‑kind within PetroChina, realizing effective import substitution for high‑performance polymer raw materials. The accredited in‑house laboratory implements strict full‑process quality management complying with ISO management systems, national GB standards and international industrial specifications, delivering complete inspection documents and SDS for every batch of goods to guarantee stable product consistency for global clients.
Committed to green and low‑carbon development, the company has invested heavily in environmental protection facilities, achieving high‑standard control over waste water, waste gas and solid waste, with waste water reuse rate above 70% and 100% compliant disposal of solid waste. In December 2025, it completed a large‑scale green power certificate transaction with Tarim Oilfield, forming a collaborative energy mechanism of “upstream green power generation and downstream green‑certificate consumption”, and its low‑carbon practice has been selected as a typical new‑energy collaborative case of PetroChina.
